These Terms govern your use of Sling, a hosted checkout service operated by Sling LLC (“Sling”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.

1. What Sling does

Sling provides a branded checkout page for your store and records paid orders back to your connected commerce platform. Payments are processed by your own connected Whop account under Whop’s terms. Sling is checkout-builder software: not a bank, payment processor, payment facilitator, money transmitter, or merchant of record, and it never holds, touches, routes, or settles your customers’ funds.

2. Independence

Sling is an independent third-party checkout builder. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Whop or Shopify. Any references to those platforms are nominative only, to describe the accounts you connect. Your use of Whop and Shopify is governed by their own separate terms.

3. Payments and your own Whop account

Sling is checkout-builder software. It is not a bank, payment processor, payment facilitator, money transmitter, or merchant of record, and it never holds, touches, routes, or settles your customers’ funds. All payments are processed by your own connected Whop account under Whop’s terms. Payout timing, reserves, holds, approvals, refunds, and dispute outcomes are decided solely by Whop and its banking partners. Sling does not control or guarantee any of them.

4. Prohibited businesses

You may not use Sling to sell, promote, or facilitate any of the following: adult content; weapons, firearms, or ammunition; drugs, controlled substances, or unapproved supplements; tobacco, vape, or nicotine products; cannabis or THC products; gambling or betting; the sale of cryptocurrency, tokens, or NFTs; multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes; counterfeit or intellectual-property-infringing goods; pirated media or IPTV; credit-repair, debt-relief, or unlicensed lending or investment products; and forged or fraudulent documents. This list is not exhaustive, and you must also comply with the prohibited-use rules of Whop and Shopify. We may suspend accounts that breach this clause.

5. Anti-evasion

You may not use Sling to evade, circumvent, or work around any restriction, reserve, limit, suspension, or ban imposed by Whop or Shopify, or to operate duplicate or backup accounts intended to avoid such limits. Sling is a checkout builder, not a means of bypassing another platform’s controls, and any attempt to use it that way is a breach of these Terms. We may immediately suspend or terminate any account we reasonably believe is being used to evade another platform’s controls.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the products you sell, the accuracy of your listings, fulfillment, taxes, chargebacks, and compliance with the rules of your payment provider and sales platforms. You must have the right to sell what you list and to use any brand assets you upload.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use Sling for unlawful goods, fraud, or any activity that violates the terms of your payment provider or commerce platform. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other users at risk.

8. Fees

Paid plans are billed per store at the price shown on your Billing page, plus a small percentage per order. These are software fees billed by Sling to you, the merchant. They are never a cut of, or deducted from, your customers’ payments. Card-processing fees are charged by your own payment provider, not by Sling.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sling’s total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may cancel anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

This policy explains what Sling LLC collects and why. We collect only what we need to run your checkout and your account.

Information we collect

Account data (your email and store settings), connection credentials for the platforms you link (stored encrypted), and order data passed through checkout (shopper contact, shipping address, and amounts) so we can record the order on your store.

How we use it

To operate your checkout, sync orders, prevent fraud, provide support, and bill your plan. We do not sell personal data. Payment card details are handled by your payment provider and are never stored on our servers.

Sharing

We share data only with the processors that run the service (hosting, database, payment provider, and the commerce platform you connect) and only as needed to deliver it to you.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing privacy@sling.cx. We retain order records as required to provide the service and meet legal obligations.

Sling subscription fees are billed monthly per store. Because the service is delivered continuously, subscription fees are generally non-refundable, though you can cancel at any time to stop future billing.

Shopper refunds

Refunds to your customers for the products they bought are issued by you through your connected payment provider, under your own store policy. Sling records the order; your provider moves the money.
